Staples and Cardboard

Post by Double Naught »

I had to try this, a sheet of double thick cardboard and a bunch of standard staples.
Although successful I would not recommend this. It would seem that when you put the staples in it dents the cardboard so the staples are at different heights. This will cause trouble if the staples are lower than the lane change plates, the car will stick to the plates and allow you to steer away from the staples.

Nice test track. I sure learned a lot from mine. Ain't it a thrill to run that first car?

Very interesting way to go about it! Isn't experimenting fun? To Go Where No Man Has Gone Before. I have more fun doing that than actual racing. Your car seems to run along and change lanes pretty nicely.

Thanks Luf and Mike, yes it is cool to run the car for the first time. I think we'll have lots of fun with these. More tests, then off to design a bigger track.
