Are you ready for lap timing ? TEASER

before a track could be used for serius racing and not only for practice, there must be a lapcounting system.

Are you ready for lap timing ? TEASER

Post by kiklo »

As someone may recall I'm using the free RCD ( https://racecoordinator.net/ ) for laptiming.

How many of you would be interested in getting onto it as well ?
It is certainly a low cost system you can build the hw yourself.

I'm onto testing my little add on board to give CAR ID to ANY car/chassis you use. Probably also slotcars if requested.
That is CAR ID as the original Magrracing cars.( 1 ..16 )

This will bring timing to the new chassis and whatever the future will bring.

You can see the needed part in the picture : a small programmed microcontroller, the IR-led and a resistor mounted on a small PCB.

I'd like to hear from you.
At the moment i'm making it for my own new cars. Would any one like to have as well ?

Her is my first prototype.

The way to change car ID would be to cut off the appropriate jumper wires.

I also made few without the board but with a bigger microcontroller : soooo much easier to solder. :-)
