Hello from Essex GB

Post by TheGiantTribble »

Hello to all.

Came across magracing whilst looking at building a routed slot car track as my youngest is starting to get heavily into cars :yes
and the Mrs is getting fed up with us taking up the whole of the front room with scalextrix track.
We both were rather impressed with the various youtube vids and I kinda feeling inspired.

Just a couple of quick questions if I may...

What is the minimum radius of turn?
What wheelbase is the current chassis represent?
Any other production cars planned, 1950's sports cars, and 1960 - 1970 F1 would be :thumpup?
And finally if you have two pieces of piano wires crossing do they require a break and if so how much?

Hi Welcome,

you can find the answers somewhere inside the forum or http://www.magracing.co.uk/track.html, the crossing can be done both ways, I preferr to have one line going unbroken, and cut the other wire and place it as close as possible, if you using the method with 2 unbroken wire there will be a problem with the wire and the road surface, one of them will be too low.
