Sorting through the old projects for stuff for a new build and hey ho stumbled across this... shows the coreless motor in place in a mag steered front end where the steering axis is mid way within the front wheels (not pretty but that's for another day :) ).

Did you ever get to test it?

Adding the gears must add some drag ( friction ?

This must have been my final push along test.

I think its going to become the new front end.

I'm not sure if you mean the pinion and spur you can see but there's a shed more gears in a servo but more than the first magracer!

You can't even tell the motor is there... early test will be to see if it's powerful enough. Larger ones in the project box if needed.

Nearly got all the parts to start a build... tense moment... hang on I'm out of regulators.

I was going to repurpose a cheapy RC car but I've decided to go down the slotcar route for wheels and tyres so will probably design a simple sled chassis to stick every thing to.
