Nice! Very ambitious project mike. I too love the scarab, tipo 61, testa rosa bodies. However without a commercial track nearby to run on I'll have to stick with 1/32nd as 1/24 requires way to much space.

When you recommend 30cm as min radius ...I'm thinking you are talking about the radius of the inside lane not the average of inside and outside or the racing line? Is this correct?

I would agree that one of the biggest stumbling blocks in approaching magracing is that most of us come from a slot car experience, and therefore are discussing them in terms of trying to to tune them with hotter motors and sticker tires etc to make they more like our slot car experience. Total newb...

Great work!! Clearly from reviewing the forum posts there is a demand for different wheelbase chassis to fit the current LMP and stock car bodies which usually have longer wheelbases. Extending the area behind the battery box to move the whole motor/gear/axel assembly would seem the most obvious way...
