You probably know.
But by putting the trigger somewhere in reverse position when inserting the battery you will have a slight power on when releasing it, and a car going at constant speed. No messy tape.

Controller steering axel fix.
To fix my broken steering. I drilled out the center to 6 mm. Created a 'bolt', spacer and nut. 3 STL files. Using a friends 3D printer. Had to sand parts to a snug fit. Modified the controller with the extra retainer hole to get the spacer to stay put. (Used drilled the small hole as a guide before ...

Re: Home-built lap counter
Hi. Got some good testing tonight on RC. Setup : I use 3 sensors on 3 Arduino Digital pins (2,3,4). Have coded my cars from 0 to 5 (hex wise, from the table above.). Now running Skjalm cleaned RC.ino code with latest RC we are closer: Procedure: starting with car 0, passing all sensors 1,2,3 3,2,1 I...

Re: 'Routing the Keld method' (Dremel saw)
I guess wood glue do not bind to steel.
But you would not need much contact glue only a drop every 10-15 cm.
The tight cut with the Dremel will do most of the 'hold down' when you squeeze the pianowire down.
The paint on top will do the rest.

Re: Suggestions Sought for New Chassis Design
This sounds promising. One thing I have in mind is rear axel dim. I have managed to bend the std. 2.mm(dropped off the table), I would consider using 3.mm, and bushings like other 1:32 scale systems. It would also give us a wider choice of supplies. But then you would move away from WES's origin.
