Ch01 1:24 10440 & 18500 battery

Going to see how well this works.
I can use both types of batteries. The 10440 are light enough so the magnets holdes it firmly.
I can not think the elevated batteryposition should have much of a negative effect on handling.

We'll see.

Re: Alternative battery?

I have tried to find alternative batteries for some time. I just got some 18500 3.7 that could be ok for the 1:24 chassis. Clocking in at 1400mah it is about 3 times the power of the AAA. Certainly 3 times hevier to. I'll make a rezised batterycompartment and test it in a 1:24 car soon. Pic for comp...

CH01 - 1:32 75-90 mm

I just managed to trim down the STD configuration to 75 mm wb. It is a squeece with the FLYsky 3 ch. receiver . IMG_20230302_134324.jpg The REar engine is not a problem. IMG_20230302_134354.jpg But some of the bodies I have does not not allow for long rear ends. IMG_20230302_135655(1).jpg

Re: RaceID tower-grid

Ok.

So a distance from a few mm to 2cm works great.

The most important factor seems to be to have the IR pointing straight up.

RaceID tower-grid

I'm going to test how well it will work with RaceID IR facing up and having it register in an overhead 'bridge'. And testing the distance needed. You wil not need to cut in the track and you will be more free to rearange the start/finish line. Or add intermediat time segments. The legs will have roo...

Re: Track cleaning.

Maybe I should add a servo-operated sving-arm so I can push it sideways to reach all corners etc. :-)
