Stretched magracer
Many if not most of the modern GT3 and LMP bodies have a wheelbase longer than the pre wing Can Am era cars that have been magracing's staple. Luckliy it is much easier to lengthen this chassis than shorten it. Therefore I'm including a series of photos illustrating a simple and inexpensive method o...

Re: FREE TEST TRACK!
Appreciate the comments Lasp. Sorry it took so long to report the results. First I do wish to thank Joel for making the trip up and for the brief time we had to share thought on our hobby. It's always great to meet someone with like interests. I must confess that in total it was far more of a kids e...

Re: PacNorthwest updated (Resurfaced+)
Ya Joel, I thought you might like the 2J. Sure I'll try to get some stills posted. All three of those mentioned are by TrueScale (truescaleproducts.com) but the chaparral is no longer available so I paid dearly for it on eBay. There detail and quality is excellent. However, it is a part time job for...

Re: PacNorthwest updated (Resurfaced+)
Yes things have been busy here at PacNorthwest Raceways. In addition to landscaping, there has been a pedestrian overpass added as well as a state of the art media/pit complex complete with helipad!. You'll note the unique pit garages and indoor team boxes as well. As mentioned, following lessons le...

Re: Is anyone interested
Lasp, I would say a chassis with an 83mm wheelbase, or about 7mm longer than stock, would fit many currently available slot car bodies, both LMP and GT3.

Re: Modular tracks
While 70mm is enough on a straightaway, as Lasp suggests it is not enough to allow for passing in a corner. My observation is that the cars do not maintain a tail slide nearly as great as a slotcar without leaving the wire. Also because they do not accelerate nearly as quickly and need at least 5-7 ...
