Something to consider - in RC racing, fine throttle control may not be as important as good steering control (things might have moved on since I last drove an RC car, but it only had three speeds forwards and three in reverse). Therein lies the problem - the cost of tooling for pretty much *anything* is exorbitantly expensive. At volume, things can be churned out pretty cheaply, but you need to have some guarantee of volume sales. I'm eminently unsuited to give anybody business advice, but I wonder if there is scope to use...

The controllers look pretty "Heath Robinson" at the moment, especially with the straight lines and 90 degree corners. One of the biggest improvements which would come from commercialisation of the system would be improved controller ergonomics, I would hope. If the steering wheel mated to ...
