Re: Car IDs
Loads of it all in place already otherwise it would be uphill all the way. No problem squeezing it into a 1/32 car, even using parts off the internet.. Battery life... well if you are used to 3minute races slotting it'll be okay. May go to a smaller N20 sixed motor though and 7.4v (speedy but I have...

Re: Steering theory...
I've seen your video and it's a bit tricky to work out for certain what's going on but is it this? There is a linear servo which actuates the steering and works against repelling magnets rather than an attracting magnet in the traditional servo design? As I mentioned in the lap-counting thread I thi...

Re: Car IDs
So some electronics on the originals controlled the LED but it did not make its way to the 2.4G system? I think I'm going down my own route with this. I can and, if I do it, will build on technology I already have. It's a very sophisticated slotcar controller which is wired or wireless and I have al...

Originally the steering was pulled off line by solenoid(s) and when the track wire 'broke' these solenoids had enough umph t...

Re: Car IDs
The issue I have is knowing which posts to try and get more information for. Ideally, for me at least, someone can point me to the information that explains what is on the car in order to work with the lap counting system. I'd guess it's some sort of LED like on the slot car systems but home grown. ...

Car IDs
Coming late to the party, sorry.
I can see how the track part of the system works but cannot find any information about the part that fits onto the car. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Cheers Alan
