Anyone Played Around with Real FX?

Post by watpub » Fri 19. Jul 2019 04:16

Hi all,
After a bit of general browsing on Youtube I came across a system known as Real FX. They actually refer to it as "slotless racing". It seems to use similar principals to Magracing except that it has a proprietory track system. The track is some sort of vinyl sheet that has wiring/sensors/etc embedded into it.
There is a lot of fancy stuff that comes with it such as ghost cars, tyre blow outs, simulated oil spills and even sounds (car noises, race calls, warnings, etc) coming back through the controller.
From seeing things on the screen it looks a bit toy like. It is 1/32 scale but the cars really look cheap and trashy.
But I'm wondering whether some/any of it can be bastardised for MagRacing.
Here's a link for a sales pitch of the system www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6qGNQfZiLE
Anybody out there got any thoughts?
