It is 868MHz which is popular for garage door remotes, alarm systems etc. so if your neighbour's garage door keeps opening and closing, you know why!

I immediately ordered a rf 868 receiver/transmitter board. Can you supply the technical information on how the cars are controlled?

I cant help you with the exact details, but probably the best approach is to take a good look at the chips in the transmitter and receiver. Get a strong magnifying glass and note down any numbers on the larger chips if present. A google search may yield a datasheet for you. Chances are that the protocol for transferring data between the two chips is a common one that is burned into the firmware of the chip and is therefore "Black boxed" from the user.
Failing that do an image search for "868mhz Tx" and "868mhz RX" and you might find an image of a similar unit which will lead you to a datasheet.
