i think i will make front tyres out of foam. weight will be the biggest problem, i have taken out all screws i installed to adjust everything and glued (coldwelding we say in germany) it until all fits perfect. so i reduce the weight, and the grip must lock for rc items until i get original.best wishes markus

Did using O rings for the front tires eliminate the front end shimmy? In other words, did it eliminate the dancing of the front wheels?

yes , the ,,dancing,, is eleminated.
Re: Just to find out if it works: 1/24 scratch build chassis
Do you think that the front-end shimmy, "dancing", with the original front tires was due to those tires being out of round or due to those rather wide wheels and tires wobbling on the front axles?

also the sidemagnetsposition will hold the frontaxle quiet. a few millimeter down and the higher magnetforce holds the steeringarm straigter. not to deep, or the car will not take the lanechanges .you have to test what adjustment works on your track. its interesting to see how minimal differences in adjustment change the cars performance.

if you got problems with the frontaxle, try it with the two sidemagnets. but only a little bit, its crazy how much ghange it brings.one mm deeper and you think you have a different car.

What lives as long.....
Are you thinking about the time the battery is running?
Nice you spend time to show us you progress with the 1/24 scale cars.
Did you try the spronge rubber frotn wheels?

you can also find them in Germany, H+T and many others have them.

Rex, could you please explain what you mean by, "side magnet"? Perhaps post a close up photograph of the changes that you have done?
Thanks for posting your work.

thank you keld, for the good tip with the wheels. i only could get cassis without rc equipment from wes, and i dont want to destroy one of my perfect running original cars. afraid to kill the little wires so i used an old infared transmitter of a microheli (trash) so i can handle the speed but i cant steer. it works so good that i have blown the little esc. there is a foto of the rc items on the side befor. i will take a detailfoto to show what i mean with the sidemagnets.
