Mini production track

Post by WesR »

Whilst our Targa track is intended to show the very best of Magracing, I feel there is a market
for a small ready built starter track and photo shows progress over the week end. The track is based on 2 panels of 1/2" chipboard, each 48" x 96", joined with a batten. This represents one half of a
standard sheet and cost around £6 ($9). (The chipboard price that is!) It is fixed to the workshop wall and is hinged to lift up so will take up no space. It has 4 l/cs but includes the right, left, right turns which I consider essential for novice drivers.
Should be finished and painted next week.

There are several material that coude be nice for a movable track.

Like Masonite 3 or 6 mm (Board) and at the same size.

I will use Forex material 3 mm PVC light and clean.

So please give us all detaljs of LC plate and running possibles.

Like the right, left , right mowing!

Sorry Lasp, I should have put the size in metric also. The base is 240cms x 60cms, which is half
a standard sheet. The inner lane radius is 17cms. This is about the minimum that the cars will
take. The track is for clockwise running only. It is not possible to have a true racing line and
run in both directions. Photos show track now with folding legs. Hanging with a chain or string
may have been easier. Track was finished with ready mixed plaster. Took about 45 mins.
