Hi Nick.

I used the stock 1 cell and stock motor. Have not tried a C-can motors - have not found a 3-4V version yet. I have some smaller motors incoming N20/N30.

Hi.

Found a C-can motor. Turns nicely. They are notoriously bad labeled so I don't know the spec. But probably 1.5-3V or 3-6V.

BTW The on/off switch on the ESC does not seems have a function; works in both positions.

I have 2 escs to try out so have ordered an extra receiver to test them with. Meantime I built the simple p.c. board to test the car.

It sounds like I do need a different motor. I have several so maybe I'll try rewinding one. My ESC on and off switch worked but since I put the batteries in from the bottom I deleted it and put a jumper on the board.

I cannibalized an old Cobra and put the tiny FRSKY-compatible receiver w. built in Esc- no reverse.

Only have a ordinary transmitter and too sticky rears, so running is hard.
