Re: Mag with led's
Well done Christian. Some pics of your track would be nice too.
Re: Mag with led's
I use white and red led's with a diameter of 3mm.
The two resistor's have 56 ohm.
The white led's are connected parallel because they need more power. The red led's are connected in line.
For the second car I am thinking about to use some smaller led's. In a slotcar store i have seen some with 1,6 mm but i don't know the values of this components.

Re: Mag with led's
normally the value is the same no matter size, it is the color that change the value.

Re: Mag with led's
Really looks nice Keld. Good job ! I wonder how much effect the lights have on battery endurance ?

You mean Christiangoatdope wrote:Really looks nice Keld. Good job ! I wonder how much effect the lights have on battery endurance ?
but the led don't use much a normal led use 20 mA, so i will work many hours, 2 white parallel is 10 mA, and 2 red i serie is 40 mA, that 50 mA in total, and with 600 in the battery the 4 leds will work for 12 hour, I race more than 30 min on a battery and on 30 min the leds only use 4% of the total power in the battery.
