Wes, Correction - not stainless steel!!! Just steel wire. And yes, I've tested the cars with the wire embedded in the track already. Regarding trees - I was planning on putting them on the hill sides - between the barriers. I agree with you - that you don't want something blocking your race cars. Bert

I didn't get to work on my track, but I did build my start/finish line structure. I plan on putting this over top of the two Infrared receivers that are included in my track counter.

I bought these via eBay - from a buy in Turkey - took a long time to ship - but was worth the wait!

My track has two lanes, so I installed a lap counter receiver on each track. It doesn't matter which lane your car is on when it crosses the track since each car has its own unique identifier code. Also, the first time your car goes over the lap counter, the counter starts at zero (0). Then the next...
