Re: THE MagRacing receiver/esc.

I tend to agree with Wes concerning a braking system for Magracing. I think that brakes that are automatically applied when the trigger position is returned to neutral, while the car is moving forward, would be ideal. The amount of braking should be minimal or adjustable for each car or each transmi...

Re: ESCs and experiences.

Kim, About 2 years ago I built a car with an ESC that looks just like the larger one in your photo. It is called a "DasMikro 1S Bi-directional Brushed ESC With Break For Micro Racing Chassis" Here is a link to it at Banggood https://www.banggood.com/DasMikro-1S-Bi-directional-Brushed-ESC-W...

Re: Where is my brake?

Wes,
Assuming it's wired up correctly, try moving the trigger on the transmitter forward ( in the opposite direction) to engage the brakes.

Re: 1/24 scale overview.

Hi Jim, I retired in 2011. In January of 2016 I obtained and learned how to use 3D modeling software to design magracing chassis to accommodate small highly detailed 1/32 scale slot car bodies. Originally I used the electronics and transmitter/controller from a car I bought from Wes. I have converte...

Re: KK-P1 proto up and running

Kim, You've come up with some interesting ideas. I especially like your idea: The steel bolts (magnetic) in front of the servo can be used to trim guide centering and centering lift. You can lift the guide-magnet at straits to increase speed and still have good tracion at cornering. ( At least in th...

Re: New MagRacing track

Looks very good. What is the wheelbase of your car? Are you using (4) 1.5 volt batteries connected in series to give you 6 volts?

Re: New MagRacing track

For 1/32, I recommend a minimum of 6.5cm between straight parallel lanes and a min of 8cm between lanes on the corners. I agree with Kim that you need at least 30cm of straight guide wire leading up to a lane change, so that the car is going perfectly straight when it reaches the lane change. I susp...

Re: New MagRacing track

That one corner looks awfully tight. What is the minimum radius that you intend to use?
