Re: Success of Magracing !

Whilst you are correct that ready made track sections would certainly help to attract new users to Magracing, there is a large section of the slot car community who race on routed tracks. I would say that to produce a magracing track is much easier than a routed design and is also easier to correct ...

Re: Magracing under new management

I just thought I would update everyone on the status of Magracing. As you probably know the buildings we make are for sale and selling well. We have also had some good news on the cars. I have been informed that the first sample of the electronic boards are complete and we should recieve them soon. ...

Re: BLST for Magracing any thoughts ?

Here is the link to the system http://www.blst-circuits.co.uk/ Its basically a slotted track, where all cars follow the racing line and only when you tell the car to veer off does the car take an alternate route. In Magracing there is no active track or "points" so this is more difficult t...

Re: modular track idea

Modular track is great idea and has been investigated before for slot cars. The main method that seems to have taken hold is called J-Trak. Basically the sections have common pitch entrance and exit points, so a track can be built in various configurations. The width between any two adjacent track e...

Re: Magracing under new management

I have tired a hand controller with two small push to make switches and I think its much better than a steering wheel for non proportional steering. The only thing you have to watch out for is operating both at the same time. I'm not sure how the magracing electronics would react. My guess would be ...

Re: Alternative battery?

I have had a look at some similar batteries to these. The camera batteries seem to be quite expensive, however it may be possible to use the ones from mobile phones as these are readily available. The only downside is the connections on these tend to be the spring loaded type, which are quite diffic...

Re: Hello from Germany

Roland I really love these models, particularly the Mini. One of your other post mentioned that you thought you could get the magracing equipment in there. Have you achieved steerable front wheels in this scale? If you can do this even in brass, we may be able to do something. The motor position wou...

Sorry Roland lets start again.

Welcome to the forum. I would love you to post up some pictures of your scratchbuilds, particularly any 1/43 ones you have.
