Yeah... I was thinking the same thing.
Also... It might be quite easy to do some Velcro straps that in theory should hold nicely....
Plus you'd be able to adjust the tension if needed.

You may want to have a talk with the facility security manager for allowing fans to get on the track like that. Litigation could get ugly.
