Re: Adjustable chassis.
That is an interesting chassis concept. It kind of reminds me of the old modular Dynamic chassis of the 1960's that was made of a cast alloy. For Magsteer, I think that the concept of a front pod section containing the entire steering system and a rear drive pod section containing the motor, gear an...

Here is the link. Email: wesraynor@btinternet.com
I look forward to seeing your chassis. A narrower and adjustable chassis is what I need.

Joel, I suggest that you write Wes an email direct to get your information. There should be a link on his website.

Re: Adjustable chassis.
Joel, I had doubts about the Slot.it chassis because the pod is so long. It doesn't leave much room for the steering gear. If you are set on use a pod, perhaps something like a Fly classic sidewinder pod would be the way to go. However, if you are loading batteries from the bottom side, even it woul...

Re: Me Have Great Need
The track width of the car also must be narrowed along with actual chassis width. I would think that casting a new narrower tie rod would suffice. This narrower tie rod would move the steering coil placement inboard in the proccess. This may foul the electronics board which may necessitate raising i...

Re: Me Have Great Need
Paul,
That would be a great idea if the entire front axle assembly, including the steering coil slid back and fourth as a unit. While the casting is going on, a more narrow front assembly should be done as well. This would allow folks a huge increase in available choice.

Re: Me Have Great Need
Please forgive my lack of response. I have been traveling all week via Amtrak to Ann Arbor Michigan. I am here to see my baby girl graduate from grad school at the University of Michigan. 3 days on the train with wi-fi. Joel, I am not familiar with the Hrr chassis that you mention. Here is my pet id...

Re: Tyres and batteries
Wes, I for one whole heartedly endorse the idea of a rubber tire. May I suggest that it be mounted to a plain hub that is of a size that would allow commonly available inserts such as those from Slot.it for their 15X8 wheel. I also think the same should be available for the front end too. I am not i...
