Re: KK-P1 proto adjustable motor pod
Although I said the motor screws were fiddley, I decided to have another go and am quite pleased with this fabricated (i.e. bonded on) rear axle/motor mount. Drilling the holes and routing from a steel template gives an accurate result and, having tried many adhesives over the years, I finally perse...

Re: MagRacing the Cars & RadioControl.
Cars seem to accelerate up the hill ok, not sure what the angle is. The hair pin curve bottom left on the photo has been raised since this photo (there is a pic. somewhere I am sure) to slow the cars coming down the slope from the raised area. This was helpful for cars without a brake. Now we have a...

Re: Wheels vacumforming.
DSCF1095 (2) (640x483).jpg The wheels are formed in individual circular female moulds. In over 40 years of vac. forming I have never made wheels before so it was an interesting challenge. I don't have a lathe but made them using my bench pillar drill. With this system, if the pin is perfectly in th...

Re: New ESC
Well spotted Ned! The wheels and tyres are vacuum formed in one piece. The black tyre is in fact black paint! Just haven't got round to painting the other yet. I find that minimal grip on the front makes for the best lane changing. These wheels now have the stub axles fixed into them and these run i...

Re: MagRacing the beginning.
Only Magracing offers cars racing on such a perfect racing line. They can be raced so closely due to the realistic speed and can be driven back onto the track in the event of an 'off'!

New ESC
I recently came across a new esc from Bangood which arrived yesterday. Had it running within the hour and it looks very promising. It is - '2.7a 1S dual way micro brush esc 3.3 - 6v winch reversing with overheat protection with wires' Cost was £5.41 plus postage. You can just about see it above the ...

Re: Independent Front Suspension
DSCF1077 (2) (640x370).jpg Here's a pic of a 1/32 car which I built a couple of years ago. Well I built 3 or 4, all with this front suspension which you can just about see. The servo is offset so technically the magnet in the track rod moulding goes up and down slightly relative to the servo but I ...

Re: Independent Front Suspension
DSCF1015 (3) (600x255) (318x189).jpg Maybe I haven't explained my front suspension properly. As can be seen, the lower plate is projected forward in the form of a T with 2 extra mounting holes. The front bumper plate lifts the whole suspension up by 1.5 mm allowing it to flex both slightly laterall...
