Re: what to use for a lap counting system

Has anyone else seen this system? (Link below) It's a new company, apparently, but they're not slot less. My point was to show their lap counting/timing system. It seems to use RFID not unlike what's used in mini RC. There's a 5/10/15 tag setups and they use a sensor bar. Compared to things like cor...

Re: My test track

OSR,
That looks really good. As WesR stated, it seems that the speed gives plenty of reflex time. When will we get peek at the real track :?:

Re: Oval test track (go kart track) 4' by 8' - New York

When I was running both RC and slots I encountered that I over-ran many of my cars. Which, as you have found, would cause components to get really hot. Even to the touch! So, being a computer geek, I decided to use PC memory heat sinks on on the varied components to bring the temp down. Here is a li...

Re: What is all the good reason to join MAGracing

I agree with Joel...simple track setup. Perfect for the DIY-er. No slots. Further, I agree with you Keld. Every point you listed is very valid. For me, I think the overlying appeal is the scale realism, with no slots. So far from what I've read and seen from the many vid's posted the speed and overa...

Re: My first test track build in 30 mins... lessons learned!

Hey Greg, how goes the build? It seems simple, good job and looks smooth. However, since the wire was just laid and glued, did you experience any magnet-to-wire clearance issues?

Re: Starting new chassis.

Hey Joel, That is a great job. Now you're stating that your molding that beige chassis, correct? I've designed and 3D printed various parts in RC, and fairly inexpensive I might add. How much would it take to either get a chassis from you or get the "exact" dimensions of one so that I can ...

My design(s)

So, I've yet to purchase my cars as my others are yet to sell. Having been into Mini-Z's I've a ton of the 3.7V batteries, so it's really just a matter of time. In the mean, I am dreaming up the tracks I'd like to design with this system. Here's my album of what I've actually done in the past slot c...

Hello from TX, USA

Good evening to some and good day to others (depending on when you read my greetings!). My name is Abi Leon and I live in central Texas, USA. Just north east of the city of San Antonio. I recall, as many here can I'm sure, catching a post on another slot forum about mag-racing back in December 2010 ...
