Re: Proper Gear Alignment for LMP Chassis

I am not recommending this shop over any other. They were simply the first one on the list I got when I did a search for Slot.it Offset Crown Gear. I am posting this as an illustration of the type of gear I am talking about. https://www.lebhobbies.com/sigo29b-slotit-gear-offset-29t-inline-crown-bron...

Re: Proper Gear Alignment for LMP Chassis

Since you are using slot car gears, & axles anyway, Slot.it makes an offset crown gear that will allow you to mount your motor a little lower than centerline of the axle.

Re: Suggestions Sought for New Chassis Design

At least two to three out of the five bodies shown above will not fit the chassis with its existing battery in its present configuration. The chassis is simply too wide to fit most scale sized cars except really wide ones such as modern Group C or large saloons such as Nascar.

Rex, could you please explain what you mean by, "side magnet"? Perhaps post a close up photograph of the changes that you have done?
Thanks for posting your work.

Your track reminds me of the old Riverside Raceway in Southern California. It is cool to see what you are doing in the great outdoors.

Re: My MagDragster

No there is a use for magracing that I never would have thought of. You car looks nice Sir! That looks like a red can MRRC motor. If so that thing is a monster in a slot car at 12v. What kind of voltage are you running in this car? What kind of batteries? Inquiring minds want to know these things :-...

I think behind the scenes there might be much more to keeping these websites operating than is obvious from the surface.

Re: Magracing - where now?

Hi Michael, First let me say welcome back to your slot car hobby. I think that you will find that most of us here are slot car racers too. I don't wish to speak for Wes even though your post was directed to him. I can tell you that given todays battery technology, I doubt that we will ever see a cla...
