Re: 1/24 scale overview.

Very interesting to see your progress Wes. Do you do the vacuum forming yourself ? If so did you make the vacuum-equipment yourself ? Any picture of the apparatus would be interesting to see. Being a nit pit I see a somewhat off center balance in the cars, does it have any affect ? Looking forward t...

Re: KK-P1 proto up and running

Testrun timing shows rounds in the high 13 sec area. Best timing with Magracing original is high 12s. I have used std slotcar rear axle with 36/8 teeth gear as to M1 30/8 so I have a lower top speed. Have to test better combinations to find the sweet spot with the std. motor. M1 & M2 30 8 3.75 KK-P1...

KK-P1 proto up and running

A few static shots. It has potential of running on par with all my previous cars. Putting the servo between the front wheels allow for shorter wheel base. And with the DasMicro87 electronics - even a Mini ? Motor pod is interchangeable. Makes it easy to adjust length and motor type. IMG_20200520_091...

Re: Alternative front assembly.

Testing shows I have a too wobbling 'guide'. It bend down at the magnet force. So testing now is a guide with a recess in the chassis. The guide will slide on top and not be able to dip down and 'bite' the track. It will probably give me a more constant height of the magnet. Hopefully without giving...

Alternative front assembly.

I have made several test on servo based fronts. One problem is the influence of the motor-magnet on the steering with the servo is paced between the front wheels. So I'm now going to test linear servo placed vertical. It can also provide a more direct linkage. Still a very much WIP. Here is picture ...

Re: Controller steering axel fix V2.

Just thought I'd do an update. The problem is still the same. I think this is better fix. Making a new attachment for the broken steering wheel and twisting the knob 180 as a snap on. You may have to sand a bit depending on your printer. Here is a pic of the file you can use. The small version is th...
